@MichielBijl reflecting upon the aria-errormessage, <error> element use cases https://www.paciellogroup.com/blog/2016/01/simple-inline-error-message-pattern/

Should screenshots of code examples have the actual code as alt text? This is for a Keynote file.
  4. garcialo
    20:20
It depends. What's the purpose of showing the code?
  5. garcialo
    20:20
Is it just like "stock photo of code" or is it an example?
  6. MichielBijl
    20:20
    Example
  7. MichielBijl
    20:21
If I follow the WAI tutorials it should, but not sure
  8. garcialo
    20:21
oh wait...Keynote is a presentation thing, right?
  9. MichielBijl
    20:21
    Yes =)
  10. MichielBijl
    20:21
But I will publish that, so want to make it accessible.
  11. garcialo
    20:21
    yeah
  12. garcialo
    20:21
I would not even use a screenshot, just the actual code
  13. MichielBijl
    20:22
Wasn't really planning on adding syntax high lighting myself.
  14. garcialo
    20:22
    don't need the highlighting =p
  15. MichielBijl
    20:23
I should probably start creating html based slides like the popular kids
  16. garcialo
    20:23
it's not a very popular thing
  17. garcialo
    20:23
    some people do it
  18. MichielBijl
    20:24
    It's not?
  19. garcialo
    20:24
a LOT of people still use presentation software or at the very least presentation related themes or something
  20. garcialo
    20:24
I use HTML because it's what I'm most familiar with for making it accessible
  21. MichielBijl
    20:24
    Good point
  22. MichielBijl
    20:24
I'll add it as alt text for now, but will look into html slides in the future.
  23. garcialo
    20:25
basically, I'm too lazy to learn something new, so I use what I know
  24. MichielBijl
    20:25
This is a talk for tomorrow at noon, so not really going to research all that now =P
  25. garcialo
    20:25
    heh
