    @jnurthen go ahead... it was inspired by the stories people used to explain why splash pages were wrong: "It's like you're standing outside a store and try to go in and there's some clown there asking you if you reaaaally want to enter" (as usually those pages had a "click to enter" BS button or similar... after forcing you to sit through a stupid Flash animation).

    US - drivers license works as ID. You can get an "ID only" version of drivers license if you don't drive

    Yeah I think if IDs are to be required for voting (and I don't see any reason why not, it's absolutely normal here and nobody would even THINK of letting someone who can't prove they're allowed to vote, to vote), then state or federal funds MUST be put into ensuring everyone can get and has an ID.
