    [dylanb, a11y] @jitendra: it is not as simple as you make it out to be. Yes, for a totally blind screen reader user, it makes no difference - as long as the label is correctly assigned. However, every disability is a continuum, with many more people with low vision, who use screen magnification with a mouse. For these users, the placement of the label and the ease with which they can find the associated label is critical and can become a barrier to use. So, whether placed after, or before, the proximity and the visual connection with the input field are important.
