To be honest - if one of ours devs produced something which looked like that without table markup behind it I would make them log a failure in their VPAT under WCAG 1.3.1

i understand why you are doing it - but I don't think it passes
Does anyone know why nu conformance checker retunrs “Attribute aria-current not allowed on element a at this point.”

What else am I supposed to put it on?

aria-current is a 1.1 attribute. I don't think nu has been updated for it yet.

That must be it.

@StommePoes we were discussing fonts and different glyphs for i l and 1 etc. What about Tahoma? I always forget about that one.

@MichielBijl@jnurthen The validator implements the rules in ARIA in HTML http://www.w3.org/TR/html-aria/ most new aria 1.1 attributes have not been added as I am not aware of interoperable implementations of the new attributes. We don't want to encourage use before they are stable and implemented right? If there are implementations of any particular attribute please file a bug

That makes sense, yes. I'll keep an eye out for implementations.
