litle question on text contrast : Is the shadow (black) increase accessibility if the text (white) are placed on a picture like photo ?

    no rule for foreground/background/shadow ?

The same rules would apply I guess. There is a tool that does pixel to pixel analysis of an image and will tell you if it passes WCAG. Not sure what it is called, maybe someone here knows.

hi @MichielBijl thank, so you mean if a shadow are present, the contrast can be calculate with foreground and shadow (replace background)

Yes, the contrast can be calculated against the shadow, but that does require a deeper analysis (because shadow will be mixed with background).

If that wasn't the case—so in that case it's a solid colour—it'd be an outline.

thats what i think too thanks for that point.

And, colour contrast isn't calculated to only the direct neighbour pixel (our vision doesn't work that way; stuff blurs together).

So there is some overlap between background, shadow, and text colour.

So as I got closer to the deployment date for the video player we're soon to implement I decided to check to see if the project (video-js) had updated anything since I began development. They added native support for Audio Descriptions so all of the custom work I did to built that in is now pointless.

Ouch. The new design for "How To Meet WCAG 2.0" breaks the back button: https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG20/quickref/

I don't think any of the aXe errors are WCAG failures though.

actually - I tell a lie - the "tab" buttons and the tabpanel are really messed up.
