[jitendra] @estelle: inside label of input?

[estelle] @jitendra: yes. I know it is legal according to the spec, but I assume it is horrible usability from a SR perspective.

[estelle] i’ve never done it. Wondering if anyone has ok or only bad experiences doing something that stupid. I created a carousel that is accessible without ARIA. Wondering if people abuse this idea by doing something like adding a link to a label, how but of an outcome it can be.

[estelle] seems to actually break the label, even though the spec interpretation I was reading didn’t say it was illegal. Now off to read the actual spec instead of the shorthand. ;P

[karlgroves] @estelle: it depends on what the link is. I’ve seen instances where a link was used inside of a label to provide contextual help.

[michiel] I've seen it before, mostly for stuff like terms and conditions and the like.

[michiel] I wouldn't say it's a good practice, as it breaks the label functionality (for mouse users).

[michiel] But there might be some places where it makes sense.
