[dean] What’s weird to me is that it’s a Dutch site (which I’d rightly expect), but unless Gerry McGovern and Jonathan Hassell have mastered Dutch I presume they will be presenting in English… don’t see anything on the site to say what the language of the talks will be.
[dean] PS “Skillz” is my favourite Dutch word. At least it would be if it was Dutch…. and a word.
[michiel] dean: from what I can hear most talks are in Dutch.
[michiel] Presentational stuff in between is in Dutch as well.
[dean] Yah, I still feel bad about that. I booked a UK trip then realised it was on the same weekend. Hope it’s not the first & last opportunity!
[michiel] It most certainly isn't. Might be last time Steve is there though ;)
[michiel] In all honesty, I don't expect such a large turnout every time. Regardless, we'll continue organising role=drinks stuff. We're also looking to collaborate with a couple of other meet-ups to reach more people.
[elisa] I have an interesting situation that I'd like some feedback on. Working on a product where students can put in video links to share, which would essentially embed them into a page. Videos can link to pretty much anything as long it's on youtube or vimeo. It is my understanding that these videos need to be accessible, but I'm not sure how we would ever be able to enforce that.
[michiel] Elisa: van you request the presence of subs via the api?
[elisa] I'm hoping to do that, just worried about the quality of the captions that are automatically generated if no one went in to make sure they didn't read like utter crap (which is what I usually experience)
[paintingemily] Is there a good semantic choice for marking up interview questions? (they would have a question, an answer and the author of that answer, possible multiple answers/authors)
[paintingemily] <dl> seems like not the best choice because they aren’t definitions per say, blockquote seems not right either.
