How do you close a menu on iOS w/ VO without selecting anything?" - I've seen Google's hybrid apps do that with a button that covers everything of the view port except the actual menu items that is solely there to close the menu. I've also seen that pattern somewhere in a real web app in Safari, but don't remember where.
