@StommePoes can you file a bug against ARIA in HTML https://github.com/w3c/html-aria/issues about aria-required on checkbox, please. I am inclined to allow it as a) required is supported on checkbox in HTML and b) it appears to work (checkbox state is exposed as required in APIs - msaa/Ia2 at least (i.e. works in IE/Firefox/chrome)
