[geekf] On Android, which browser is used more with Talkback? Firefox or Chrome? In my tests Firefox works better but Chrome is the default browser on all Android phones.
[caesar] Most stats say Chrome followed by the Stock Android Browser (which is essentially Chrome but stripped of branding and features)
[caesar] But I don't think there are any stats of Talkback use.
[caesar] Also, don't forget forks like Samsung's Voice Assistant
[sri429] Q: a div added for aria-describedby (for extra description) is hidden from visible user but not to a Screen reader user. Now if using jaws arrow navigation if this is accessible is it a voilation?
[jamesn]@garcialo I see a pause button on the first one though. If this were moved to the top left so it were more easily visible I think this passes 2.2.2. The pebble beach one I can't find any way to pause it so agree this fails
[garcialo] So yes..the pause control needs to also meet guidelines. Which guideline do you think this doesn’t meet?
[garcialo] I hadn’t scrolled down that far on the first one so didn’t notice it until you mentioned it. :p
[garcialo] oh…I do like that it’s right after the skip link
[garcialo] so, do you think it’s fails just because the user has to scroll down to find it? what if that sticky footer wasn’t there and the control was visible…albeit, all the way on the bottom right of the video?
[jamesn] I think if focus becomes "invisible" it fails 2.4.7
[jamesn] As long as focus is visible it passes.
[jamesn] Now - if focus jumps around you then have to judge if it passes or fails 2.4.3
[jamesn] in order to avoid these judgement calls I would advise moving the button. I would also (if I had my way) let someone click pretty much anywhere on the video to pause it.
