[sophieschoice_slack] Anyone experience with this course and/or teacher: https://www.udemy.com/ultimate-guide-to-ux/

I haven't, but it's funny that you bring up Udemy. I was just looking at them yesterday and wondered how their courses worked compared to say, edX and its MOOCs
  3. The other day I signed up for edX's course on a11y ( https://www.edx.org/course/information-communication-technology-ict-gtx-ict100x#! ) and started to take it on mobile to find that the course was all video based and that I couldn't get the transcripts unless I played the video. That made me wonder if something is truly accessible when it's like that (there are tracks when the video plays, but you need the player on to get to it).

[fstorr] @a11ycob I’ve not seen any really good accessible infographics using SVG. You might want to check out some of Doug Schepers’ work in this area. It’s pretty experimental at the moment, so I don’t know how useful it will be for you.

I'm testing a site with a very large table (over 6000 rows) for whatever reason the table does not announce itself to the screenreader (validated by multiple people). However, if I take a small portion of the table into codepen the same table is readable. Is the size of the table causing the issue? I've not come across this before.

    [marcysutton] Probably.

[ugi] One of the rows maybe containing stuff that is breaking the table structure, like unescaped HTML. Did you try validating the HTML source code for the full size table?

[ugi] Also, if possible, try the table with the CSS and JS disabled. Especially, if you are hiding cells/rows with CSS. Generally that’s the culprit for most table problems.

[fstorr] 6000 rows on one table? To me at least, that’s a usability issue for everyone.
