The ottava amount or zero object

Type: Number

Represents the number of octaves in an octave shift, with zero being an option. See also ottava amount, which doesn't support the value zero.

Allowed values:

Value Description
-1 The written pitch is one octave higher than sounded. Traditionally rendered with an "8vb" symbol.
-2 The written pitch is two octaves higher than sounded. Traditionally rendered with a "15mb" symbol.
-3 The written pitch is three octaves higher than sounded. Traditionally rendered with a "22" symbol.
0 No octave shift is applied. Pitches are sounded exactly as they're written.
1 The written pitch is one octave lower than sounded. Traditionally rendered with an "8va" symbol.
2 The written pitch is two octaves lower than sounded. Traditionally rendered with a "15ma" symbol.
3 The written pitch is three octaves lower than sounded. Traditionally rendered with a "22" symbol.
