Recap of CR and Testing Suite progress
Ivan Herman: not much happened during summer, the test suite is complete. We are waiting for submissions, our job is to push everyone to test and submit results.
Ivan Herman: we prefer creators of reading system to do the tests, but it is possible that someone else do.
Susan Neuhaus: I had feedback about what's expected is not 100% clear, what's expected from RS builders?
Ivan Herman: we have to prove a given feature can be implemented by at least two, that's the goal. We're not testing the RS but the features.
Shinya Takami: we plan to implement a roll support and after that we'll start tests, will not be ready for TPAC.
Toshiaki Koike: we have support for roll and started testing, we hope to report soon, maybe next week.
Gautier Chomel_: we plan to perform the tests by early december.
Ivan Herman: it is not necesary to have all features implemented inall reading systems. Partial tests are welcome too so we can have a big picture.One focus point is the new features.
Brady Duga: what about ingest tools? They are welcome to apply to the test too. as long as they ingest epub even if the final format is name differently I see who I can contact.
Wendy Reid: tool chains producting EPUBs use epubcheck to validate the files but it may be good to have theyre feedback on this test suite too.

<Murata Makoto> A) Resolution 03: Review of the EPUB 3.4 Candidate Recommendations
SC 34 thanks Publishing Maintenance Working Group, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for its liaison statement contained in Document SC 34 N 3358. SC 34 requests its members to review the EPUB 3.4 Candidate Recommendations by 2026-09-30 to see if there are any technical or editorial concerns in advance of their publication as W3C Recommendations and any subsequent ISO adoption process.
Murata Makoto: i don't expect comments but this resolution insure people have enough time to study those documents.
B) Update on the new ISO/IEC Adoption Process
I would like to give a brief update on the new ISO/IEC Adoption Process, which replaces the former PAS submission process.
First, organizations that were recognized PAS Submitters under the previous process are recognized submitters under the new Adoption Process. Therefore, W3C does not need to go through a new recognition process in order to use the Adoption Process.
Second, the new process involves two ballots. There is first a four-week ballot on whether to initiate the adoption process. If the process is initiated, the submitted document then proceeds to an enquiry ballot. Although this means that there are now two ballots, at present I do not expect this change by itself to make the overall process significantly longer.
There are still some details about the practical operation of the new process that I would like to clarify. I intend to raise the remaining questions at the JTC 1 Plenary in November. I hope that, after that meeting, I will be able to give W3C a clearer and more complete explanation of how the new Adoption Process will work in practice.
C) No Technical Corrigendum for EPUB Accessibility 1.0 at this time
Based on the recommendation from the Publishing Maintenance Working Group, I prepared draft text for a Technical Corrigendum to EPUB Accessibility 1.0.
However, ISO/CS advised SC 34 to use an Amendment rather than a Technical Corrigendum, because ISO/CS considers the proposed change to be beyond the permitted scope of a Technical Corrigendum.
An Amendment would require more time than a Technical Corrigendum. Moreover, once EPUB Accessibility 1.2 is adopted as an ISO/IEC International Standard, EPUB Accessibility 1.0 will be withdrawn from the ISO catalogue.
For these reasons, SC 34 has not taken further action on the proposed correction and is currently waiting for the submission of EPUB Accessibility 1.2.

TPAC Agenda
Wendy Reid: we should have a draft agenda by the end of this month. We have two full days.
Susan Neuhaus: light novel full page image may be of interest.
Ivan Herman: we have open issues to discuss but I would like to focus on the charter to understand what is what we want beyond the charter itself. Also we need to discuss manpower to tackle the activity for this charter.
Avneesh Singh: Marisa will be in TPAC, we can discuss sync media starting monday afternoon. I am waiting for visa.
Charles LaPierre: I will be there, also as AC rep. We heard that many people have been denied expense to travel., especially experts. Also I wonder about cross WG meetings, with APA and others, are there schudles?
Shinya Takami: I plan a session on accessibility for mangas. DPFJ a publishing comunity in Japan is commited to tackle the subjet, we are preparing a report for accessible manga strategy.
Hadrien Gardeur: happy to discuss accesisble mangas. The PCG TF on BD manga comic accesisbility will start october 1. It could influence the charter.
Hadrien Gardeur: about sync media, I see huge issues in the spec, we should adress those now and quickly and divide immediat needs and long term work which is also necesary.
Avneesh Singh: on 10 of november there will be a workday on accessible manga in Tokyo organised by Hiroshi. Just to make sure all initiatives are connected.

Hadrien Gardeur: yes, we want to discuss best practices to produce bd manga comics accessible and provide guidelines to align practices. We never really had those discussions, it's importnat to summarise the current situation and what can be done to smooth the situation. We aim to agree on a common document to align practices.
Hadrien Gardeur: everything will be in the PCG repo.
Hadrien Gardeur: we'll use github github issues with a label "TF:Comics" and work asynchronously because not everyone can spent so much time in calls.
Susan Neuhaus: we've discussed the variety and number of documents we have. we may want tto discuss how to consolidate our documentation
Gautier Chomel_: I agree, we tried to do something in the PCWG and I would be happy to discuss what we did
Wendy Reid: a good part of this discussion on documentation is what to do withthe legacy idpf website and what we want to sunset. particularly documentation about EPUB 3.0.1

Ivan Herman: being all book lovers I invite all of us to visit Trinity college old library. We can organise something the sunday if people are there.
