Sounds needed to understand the media are identified or described in transcripts.

This includes sound effects and other non-spoken audio content.

Applies when there is sound.

Except when the video is decorative.

Procedure

For all audio content:

  1. Identify meaningful non-verbal audio (sounds).
  2. Check that transcripts include a description of the meaningful non-verbal audio.
